The Command Console (F10)

The site-wide control panel, with four tabs. Home holds your quests and the add-ins; Broadcast is your stream; Settings is your account and display; Wiki is this library.

Getting startedUpdated 2026-10-22

The Command Console is the panel for everything about your account rather than about the game: your quests and add-ins, your stream tools, your settings, and this library. On a desktop it is the Dashboard button at the end of the top bar, a page whose four tabs sit beside that button. In the desktop Companion F10 opens it from anywhere, as a panel over whatever you were doing; hit ✕ or Esc to close it, and navigating anywhere closes it too.

The F10 binding exists only inside the desktop Companion: browsers reserve that key for their own menus, so the app does not bind it outside the Companion at all. In a browser, the top bar's Dashboard button is the way in, and it works on every page.

On a phone, the ◈ in the middle of the dock stands in for Home (your level and streak, your latest games, what is next and who is live), your quests are on the STUDY screen, and the other tabs (Broadcast, Settings, Wiki) are in your menu, behind your avatar at the top.

Your own games, stats, intel, notes and the AI coach are not here: they live on the Study lane's The study desk. The console's old Library tab (called Analysis before that) moved there, and so did STATS › MY STATS.

The header#

The console's header (on a desktop, the top bar around it) carries your vespene and Minerals balances, which open the wallet, and a row of quick actions:

  • Upload a replay: a file picker from any page. One file opens in the replay viewer; several at once go to the study desk's Games view, which shows their progress.
  • Watched replay folders: manage the Companion's auto-upload folders (or the install gate, in a plain browser).
  • Notifications (the bell), which also holds your inbox, with unread counts kept live.
  • Report a bug: a title and a description, goes straight to the team.
  • Sign out, and for guests, "Log in" / "Join free".

The four tabs#

The console has four tabs: Home, Broadcast, Settings and Wiki. One shows at a time, and the console remembers which one you were on. Social and Add-ins used to be tabs of their own. The add-ins are cards on Home now. Your friends have their own Friends view, opened from your menu (the ME button) or from Search, and old links to Social take you there.

Friends, What's new, the inbox and the calendar also used to sit on Home. The inbox is behind the bell, and What's new and the calendar open as pop-ups from your menu or from Search (the calendar also from the Compete lane).

Home is your quests and your add-ins. Across the top, Your quests: one row of cards, your daily quests first and then your weekly ones, each with its progress and reward (the same quests are on the study desk; see Quests, XP, streaks, and achievements). Below them sit the Add-ins cards (Stardex and the Ladder Overlay, each with its live state, a Tour and its options; in a plain browser, a door to get the Companion), a card for the Vespene community Discord, and Support us.

Broadcast is everything about your stream on one page. The middle is a canvas drawn with the same renderer OBS uses: pick a scene, place widgets on it, and every edit saves and reaches OBS live. Two scenes: In game and In menus (your post-match recap plays in In menus after each game), which Auto switches between by itself (the Companion tells it when you are in a game). Tutorial walks you through both scenes and into OBS step by step. Put on air holds a scene on stream, Back to Auto hands control back, and Hide all blanks every source at once. The same page holds your OBS source links and stream key, the Companion's in-game switch, the Look sheet (the widget style, with four sets to choose from), and the post-match recap editor. On a phone, Broadcast is a quick switch for what is on air. See OBS overlays and Overlay Studio and Caster tools and tournament scenes.

Settings holds Display (UI scale, text size, motion, and where the lane switcher and lane pages sit), Hotkeys, and your account: handle, Battle.net and Twitch links, the Companion's watched folders, the preference switches, linked players and a door to the Broadcast tab. The old Control deck pop-out is gone; everything it held is here.

Wiki is this library, read inside the app. The knowledge library link in its corner still opens the full site in a new tab for editing.

The ranked queue itself lives in the Compete lane (the War Room); the console does not carry a queue panel.

Why it exists#

The console is the answer to "where was that again" for everything that is not a game: every recurring account, stream and settings action without leaving what you were doing. Keyboard users can Tab through it (while it is open as a panel, focus is contained inside it), and the whole thing closes the moment you commit to a destination.
