Vespene Back to the app

Desktop companion · Windows

One install. Three things you can't do in a browser.

Vespene Companion sits quietly beside StarCraft II. It uploads every replay the moment you leave the game, runs your builds live on top of the game with Build Coach, and logs the pros you study with Stardex. Free, and it stays in the tray.

What comes with it

Companion is the host. Stardex and Build Coach are addons that live inside it — you never download them separately, and Companion keeps them updated for you.

Built in

Replay auto-upload

Watches your StarCraft II replay folder and uploads new games as you finish them. Your dashboard, MMR trend and build stats stay current without a single drag-and-drop.

Addon

Build Coach

Run any build live, in-game, with a step-by-step overlay that tracks your supply as you play. It reads the SC2 client directly — no screen capture, no OCR, no alt-tabbing.

Addon

Stardex

Study a pro mid-game and log their card — building a dex of the best openers and habits on ladder. Everything you collect syncs back to your account here.

Windows will warn you. Here's why, and what to click.

You'll see a blue Windows protected your PC dialog when you run the installer. This is expected — it happens with every new publisher's software until we've built reputation with Microsoft's SmartScreen filter.

SmartScreen is a reputation check, not a virus scan. Your antivirus still runs normally — it will let the installer through because the file itself is clean. We're working toward a code-signed release, which will remove this warning entirely.
  1. Click More info

When the blue "Windows protected your PC" dialog appears, look for a small grey More info link just below the warning text. It's easy to miss — the big "Don't run" button is more prominent by design.

  2. Click Run anyway

Expanding More info reveals the publisher name and a new Run anyway button. Click it to continue — this grants the installer permission to launch.

  3. Follow the installer

The NSIS installer opens and walks you through setup. No admin password is required — it installs per-user into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\SC2Tree. Uninstalls cleanly from Windows Settings.

  4. Sign in once

On first launch, the app opens your browser to sign in with the same account you use here. If you're already signed in on vespene.gg, the handoff is instant — no second login.

Verify the installer. If you want to confirm the file is authentic before running it, compare its SHA-256 checksum against the value below. In PowerShell: Get-FileHash SC2Tree-Setup.exe
